Latest Planning News - We Still Need Your Support
LANGDALE QUEST PLANNING HAS BEEN DEFERRED - IT WAS CONCLUDED THAT THE COMMITTEE MEMBERS REQUIRE MORE TIME & INFORMATION TO CONSIDER WHAT THEY BELEIVE TO BE A VERY IMPORTANT ISSUE.
Committee members have agreed that the LQ is a well established business & that it brings in an appreciable level of revenue to the local economy. They have requested a meeting be set up to discuss the future of the LQ directly with the applicant (Moorland Adventure Sport).
This will give us (the owners) the opportunity to clarify a number of issues which they are currently unsure on, including:
1. Who is responsible for the track repairs.
2. How many & which type of vehicles should be allowed on site.
3. The financial viability of the project.
4. Will the use of the local Green Lane network increase if the site was to close.
There are obviously other issues which will be addressed. If you would like to pass on your comments to the National Park Committee please click on the link below to send them an e-mail directly:
If you can't make it then please send an e-mail of support to:
In the meantime it has been agreed that the Langdale Quest is to continue as normal until a final decision can be made as to the future of such an activity within the National Park.
In any event, should the Committee decide to refuse the application they are prepared to allow a wind down period which will allow us to furnish all the advance bookings which have been made.
The Decision made today highlights the open mindedness of the Committee members & we look forward to spending as much time as required to help them understand what the Langdale Quest stands for & its REAL benefits to this National Park.
From all of the Langdale Quest team - thank you for your continued support.
